All chrome store extensions editions →Auto Tab Discard
Auto Tab Discard is a Chrome browser extension that reduces memory usage by automatically discarding inactive tabs. Users can discard or release tabs manually or automatically, exclude certain hostnames from auto-discarding, and configure rules for pinned tabs, media playback, power source, and unsaved content. Discarded tabs show their state via the favicon or title, and their scroll position and text box content are restored when released. The extension uses the browser's native tab discarding method.
