XiaoDuoYa/codex-with-chatgpt is an open-source tool that lets the ChatGPT web app act as the planning and review brain for Codex coding sessions, while Codex keeps full ownership of execution. It connects ChatGPT to the workspace through an OAuth-protected, read-only MCP bridge, so the repository is never uploaded. Codex and ChatGPT exchange structured state messages through stages such as INIT, PLAN, EXECUTED, REVIEW, and DONE, and ChatGPT pulls code it needs via read-only tools like read_file and git_diff.
