A macOS terminal that sits permanently beside the Dock instead of appearing on a hotkey. It stays on screen across every Space, including over full screen apps, and never takes focus from whatever you are working in. Inside it is a real login shell, so directory, history and state carry between commands rather than each one starting fresh. The bet is that a terminal you glance at gets used differently from one you summon.

Second appearance, and stars, forks and open issues all moved together again: 144 to 156, 6 to 7, 1 to 2. Pushed the same day rather than abandoned after the thread. At this size that is a handful of people, and it is the same handful coming back.
